



Currently on the voice faculty of the University of Texas at El Paso, Ellen M. Wilson had an inauspicious beginning singing on the stage of Ravinia at the age of 18, followed by classical music studies in college resulting in a B.M. in Vocal Performance and an M.M. in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy. Her eclectic musical career has included premiering new works for such composers as Carla Scaletti, Mark Glick, and Jeremy Beck and singing with guest conductor Benton Hess & the Raleigh Symphony, appearing as a guest soloist with the Polymnia Choral Society in Boston, and singing the soprano solos in Rutter’s Requiem, in Enfield, N.C.
